Do you know other famous artists thanks to the social networks?

Do you think that an artist known through social networks has as much merit as another?

Comics

Comics is a medium used to express ideas through images, often combined with text or other visual information. Frequently, comics takes the form of juxtaposed sequences of panels of images. Often textual devices such as speech balloons, captions, and onomatopoeia indicate dialogue, narration, sound effects, or other information.

Originally considered a genre of literature, or a minor of painting, and primarily to children, the comic strip won in the 60s its status as an art
Webcomics (also known as online comics or Internet comics) are comics published on a website or mobile app. While many are published exclusively on the web, others are also published in magazines, newspapers or in comic books.
Over time, they gain in creativity and interest. They develop their own codes, their own grammars.
In the beginning only humorous, their development through sites like 4chan or 9gag, very popular in the 2000s. The most iconic is Ctrl + Alt + Del, which gave including the board « Loss », addressing the theme of miscarriages , become a meta-even by force of parodies and appropriation. I invite you to dig the subject, vast and very interesting.

One of the oldest and most developed today is Cyanide & Hapiness, which has been in existence since January 2005 and currently has 12 million Facebook subscribers.

It is with their democratization in the early 2010s via the explosion of social networks that they begin to address important topics such as politics and society, with for example StoneToss and his multiple parodies.
The majority nevertheless stands out on an absurd side, almost philosophical, like « oh no » or the awesome « False Knees ».

I invite you to be interested, more than a source of fun, they are sometimes carriers of real messages. And you, did you know these webcomics? Which ones do you follow?

UX Designer 3

UX is a complete process that takes into account not only the IU but also the content, design, architecture of the site… It is about making the Internet user’s life easier so that he can easily achieve his goal.

It should be noted that the IU is based on technical standards such as the typology and tree structure of the site, so the UX is subject to the sensitivity of Internet users.

What will make them stay on this site, touch them, challenge them but also meet their expectations so that they can return to the site.

Ergonomics is very important when visiting a website.

Need a simpler explanation?

UX Design refers to the term User Experience, while UI Design stands for User Interface Design, user interface….

But despite their professional relationship, the roles themselves are very different, referring to very different elements of the design process.

UX Design is a more analytical and technical field,

UI Design is closer to what we call graphic design, although the responsibilities are a little more complex.

Here is a little shema that will help you understand:

I hope the article will have more and appear complete.

If you need more details about UI design and UX design, I talk about it in more detail in my last two articles.

Feel free to post a little comment below for any questions you may have.

See you next time!

PNL marketing

Many artists use social networks to promote events or creations. This is the case for the PNL rap group. After three years of waiting, PNL has put the nerves of its fans to the test, Friday, March 22, 2019. At midnight in the night of Thursday to Friday, the group launched a Live on its YouTube channel: a video of the planet Earth seen from space, without music or comment.

As the hours go by, more and more people have tried to understand the meaning of the live, nourishing the hypothesis of the launch of a new album. Sequences of numbers, letters, but also objects – like a gold disc – have sometimes suddenly appeared in orbit around the Earth, each time speculating the tens of thousands of Internet users hung on their screen. NLP has kept the Internet on the run for 16 hours.

It was finally on their Twitter account that they made the revelation and announced the release of their new clip for 20h. After 15 minutes online, « Au DD » already had nearly 500,000 views. Since then, the YouTube view counter has been blocked, a sign of too many visits in the first hours after publication. Ademo and N.O.S, the two brothers from Corbeil-Essonnes who make up the group, then spoke to their fans.

Addressed to « The miff », the tweet says: « We were eager to find you, the landing was long but we are ready! Thank you for your patience, this time it’s the good ». This art of teasing is still a notch above their communication for the release of their clip « Bené ». PNL had then placarded posters all over Paris indicating an « urgent red number »: by composing it, passersby had discovered a voicemail looping the duet’s new song.

Do you think that the popularity of the artist play a important role in the size of the impact in people? In which social network do you principaly follow your favorite artists?

Internet Meme

First, let’s define what an internet meme is. It is an element or phenomenon taken up and declined in mass on Internet. In its most basic form, an Internet meme is a simple idea or concept, spread across the web. This idea can take the form of a hyperlink, a video, a website, an image, a hashtag, a recurring character, a GIF or simply a sentence or a word.
This meme can be propagated by many people through social networks, blogs, instant messaging, news, and other Internet services.
It can sometimes change over time, by chance or because of a comment, imitations or a parody. Internet memes can evolve and quickly spread virally over the Internet, often reaching global popularity and disappearing within days of being released. They are spread by Internet users, willingly, and peer-to-peer, rather than predetermined and automatic.
Although the humorous element is the most important in the same, the phenomenon, by being democratized, addresses new themes, with for example politics, philosophy, and art. Basically, by being a graphic creation, the Internet meme can be considered as an art, where the technique resides in representing, reproducing or parodying another already existing one. In addition, at first neglected, the aesthetic side is more and more important, and some are made with a good mastery of pao software, with quality renderings.
In fact, it is his young age and his incomprehensible nature by a majority that makes no one grant him the status of art.
However, all this obviously depends on our definition of art, which is often fuzzy, and differs from person to person. Yes, the Internet meme are works of art, it requires advanced knowledge in this category, multiple references, qualities of graphic designer, often rely on the news, the problems of society, politics or other art forms.

Social network of art

You are an artist and you wish to share to the world your works with other passionate artists as well as fans who can give you objective opinions? Or maybe you yourself are a big fan of artistic culture and always on the lookout for a new innovative artist? So this article will interest you, today we will talk about 3 social networks specially dedicated to art!

So yes, you probably already know Instagram and Pinterest, which are two social image sharing networks, where you can upload photos and images to other people, well. Today we will talk about 3 social networks a little less known to the general public and where you will find, I’m sure, all the art and inspiration that you seek!

Behance:
Created in 2006 and nowadays attached to Adobe, Behance has established itself as the first creative social network in the world.
Designers, designers, graphic artists, painters, photographers, companies and even schools can exhibit their creations by publishing a free portfolio.
To edit your portfolio and share your creations, the first step is to create an account.
You can then create projects and they are the ones who eventually form your portfolio.
Even if you do not want to edit a portfolio, you can simply check other users’ creations and save your favorite projects in « Collections ».
This is very useful for finding inspiration and detecting new trends.
Through this article, you will understand that you must consult and / or use Behance. For you creative, this will allow you to increase your visibility and to make you known. For you, Behance will be a very good source of inspiration for your future projects and will allow you to anticipate and know the graphic trends.
Flikr:
Do you want to gather on a blog the moments captured with your mobile phone or share your best photos and your most beautiful videos with the world and become a celebrity of the Web? Or do you just want to share the photos of your children safely and confidentially with your family across the country? Flickr meets all your expectations and more!
Thanks to Flickr, the process of organizing photos and videos is based on collaboration. You can allow your friends, family, and other contacts to organize your items. They can not only add comments, but also insert remarks and tags. People like to communicate their surprise, their wonder, their joy, their sadness and mind when they share photos and videos.

Deviantart:
DeviantArt (formerly stylized deviantART from 2001 to 2014) is an online art community where anyone can sign up and exhibit their own graphic or literary creations. On the day of its 15th anniversary (August 7, 2015), the site had more than 36.4 million registered users and more than 200 million deviations1.
Some decide to create an account that is not managed by one person but by several. It’s a group. Then everyone can be part of the group (the modalities vary according to the groups, but it is only informative, nothing differentiates technically a personal account of a group account). This makes it possible to bring people together on a common theme (for example, the group on super powers in photo montages will post only what members of the group will do on this theme).
Some decide to register without a personal creations poster, only to give their opinion and share on their page the creations they prefer. Others are professionals or semi-professionals using DeviantArt as a virtual showcase. Many are amateurs only publishing on this site for entertaining in the artistic field.
As mentioned above, the deviations are the creations posted by each member or group, everything related to visual art can be posted: poetry, photography, drawing, resource for program, stock image, flash animation … However, the musical arts are excluded, although it is possible to work around this, and videos (excluding flash) are tolerated.

  • And you,  which social networks do you use to share your creations?
  • What is your technique for discovering artists and creations related to your interests?

UX Designer 2

The UI design aims to design a pleasant interface through which the man come in contact with the product. The UI designer takes part in the initial discussions with the UX designer and the client in order to determine the expectations of the latter, its communication objectives and the needs of the targeted user. This design professional uses his technical skills, his creativity and everything is art, to design graphic models corresponding to the wishes of his client. He is therefore responsible for the visual identity of his sponsor and the aesthetic aspect of the interface. He chooses in particular the colors, the typographic characters and can be led to design the logo of the site or his client. He is also responsible for the design of navigation buttons and their layout. On the Internet, users and their « experiences » are of paramount importance. More than 7 out of 10 Internet users will not return to a website if their first experience on it was bad. To exist, it is therefore necessary to offer an « experience » rather than just a product / service. This notion of experience is all the more important on the internet because users are more and more zappers. We also say that the user must understand what is expected of him in less than a second, otherwise, he leaves the site. And for any site, that’s less revenue, both in terms of product sales and advertising. Would you like to do this job later? What do you like when you go on a website?

Creation of artistic contents for Youtube

The wellknow plateform, Youtube, created in 2005 in California, USA, and bought back in 2006 by Google, is a video hosting platform open to all, on which anyone can publish their own creation for free.
In 2009, about 350 million people visit this site each month. On October 28, 2010, all YouTube channels reached one billion subscribers. In 2018, every month YouTube has more than 1.9 billion connected users.

With a system of remuneration of the creators thanks to the advertising, this platform pushes to the creation of contents, and Youtuber has become a new artistic profession (for most cases).

The content of Youtube is essentially video, and artistic expression is therefore expressed in many ways in this format.
First of all, any video that has been worked a little (podcast, popular science, vlog…) requires creative work in photography and editing.

In addition, many types of artistic video are specially created for Youtube. We will be able to quote for example:

The music, and their clips, allowing small artists to break through and make themselves known, to grow and develop their notoriety.

The creation of films, especially short films (animated or filmed) :

Gobelin’s channel, who contain all the creation of the goblin school, which is a prestigious animation school :

https://www.youtube.com/user/gobelins

Kung Fury who is an excellent example, cause it’s a crowdfunding film made entirely for youtube, and whose only earnings are made through Youtube :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bS5P_LAqiVg

Youtube is therefore a rich platform allowing creators to potentially live of their art, leaving the door open to ideas. The only major flaw is the algorythmic pushing for the creation of short and fast content to live on, and censorship for copyright that can repress the creation.

And you, do you think that Youtube allows the development of artists? What do you think of the algorithm promoting videos?
